“My parents fled from Vietnam to The States during the war. So growing up, I never truly felt like I belonged anywhere. After university, a friend said he was going to teach English in Seoul, South Korea, and although it wasn’t Laos (where my parents are from), I knew if I went, I’d at least be in Asia and I’d have a friend for moral support. 10 years later, I cannot imagine a life without travel because it has shaped me into an overall, better human being.”
